When I first heard this song I fell in love with it. A beautiful song by a beautiful lady. It's not a disco song, but great to slow dance to. Hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.

The pictures and video clips in this video were taken by me, around my home in Oregon. The music is by Karla Bonoff

From Album "Restless Nights" 1979 Drums-Rick Marotta,Bass-Kenny Edwards Electric piano-Andrew Gold Acoustic guitar-Karla Bonoff Background vocals-Don Henry, John David Souther lyrics Could be that I just called you up that time 'Cause he'd made me feel lonely And we, I guess we knew it was a crime But I knew that you would hold me right Your love I could never fight Those restless nights So warm and wild His touch was ice Your love was fire I know everyone needs to feel they're loved Maybe I asked for too much Sometimes I really felt so pushed and shoved But I never meant to hurt him at all When I slipped you would break my fall Those restless nights So warm and wild His touch was ice Your love was fire Maybe I'm a fool But I just can't seem to settle down Always thinking there's a another star Maybe that's the key 'Cause love is never really sound And It's the only thing I can do 'Cause I wasn't very good at being true And now I look back at all the broken dreams And wonder if I could have changed them I see that It was in the scheme of things 'Cause still, when I see your face I know nothing will replace Those restless nights So warm and wild His touch was ice Your love was fire ---I do not own clips/song. performed at SPACE, Evanston, September 27, 2009 Oh we never know where life will take us We know it's just a ride on the wheel And we never know when death will shake us And we wonder how it will feel So goodbye my friend I know I'll never see you again But the time together through all the years Will take away these tears It's OK now Goodbye my friend I'd see a lot of things that made me crazy And I guess I held on to you You could've run away and left, well maybe But it wasn't time and we both knew So goodbye my friend I know I'll never see you again But the love you gave me through all the years Will take away my tears I'm OK now Goodbye my friend A life so fragile, a love so pure We can't hold on but we try We watch how quickly it disappears And we'll never know why But I'm OK now Goodbye my friend You can go now Goodbye my friend

Leaving my home was one of the big adventures of my life. I didn't realize then what I was leaving behind: family, friends and the most beautiful beaches in the world. Fort Pickens, the graveyard in Bagdad, Pond Creek, the azaleas in spring, fishing and crabbing and the water..... how I've missed those ice cold creeks in the heat of summer. My mother's home on Ward Basin that was destroyed by Ivan and is also now only a memory. But what good memories and a beautiful place I grew up in - Home is always in my dreams....

This is a song by Karla Bonoff, one of my favorite female singers. I got to see her live a few years ago and she was great. I always loved her songwriting and singing.
